Anthony Resta

Anthony J. Resta is an American record producer and musician. A multi-instrumentalist, he is a known for his use of vintage audio gear in creating expansive sonic atmospheres. He has earned nine RIAA certified gold and multi-platinum awards and has been featured in many articles for his innovative recording techniques.^[1] Some of his past clients have included Duran Duran, Elton John, Needtobreathe, Collective Soul, Guster, Megadeth, Perry Farrell, Nuno Bettencourt, Andrea Surova, Dale Bozzio, TV Mania, Shawn Mullins, Del Marquis of Scissor Sisters, Green River Ordinance, Sarah Evans, and Blondie.

His career began in the late 1980s as a drum and keyboard programmer at various Boston recording studios where teamed up with engineers and producers like Fred Danner, Bob St.John, Paul Hager, Tom Soares, and Chris Lannon. After signing on with Kathy Anaya of Lippman Entertainment in Los Angeles in 1994, He began attracting more high profile clients.

Anthony currently works with engineer Karyadi Sutedja at studio Bopnique Musique in an old textile mill just west of Boston. The 4,000-square-foot (370 m²) studio is chock full of vintage gear from the fifties, sixties and seventies, as well as high end modern recording gear.
